“Dana Rebecca Designs is more than gorgeous jewelry. It is about empowering women!”
-Dana Rebecca, Founder of Dana Rebecca Designs
Born and raised in the jewelry industry, Dana Rebecca spent most of her childhood in her dad’s jewelry factory. Having learned the art of making jewelry, Dana started designing jewelry at the young age of 16 as a hobby, before realizing that this was her true passion.
“I launched my first line at 16, and it sold out right away. So I kept making more!” says Dana, “It definitely gave me the confidence boost to continue designing.”
Starting her educational journey off as a Corporate Communication and Business student and wanting to go into law, Dana realized where her passion truly was and enrolled at the Gemological Institute of America in Carlsbad, California. Shortly after her graduation in 2007, Dana founded Dana Rebecca Designs.
Describing her jewelry as effortless, timeless and versatile, Dana went on to say, “Dana Rebecca Designs is all about everyday luxury and empowering women to buy jewelry for themselves.”
Dana aims to reshape how people perceive fine jewelry. “For so long jewelry was something someone, usually a man, gifted to you, and something you wore for special occasions,” says Dana “Figuring out how to encourage people to capture that moment for themselves has been the most rewarding challenge and has taught me how I need to advocate for women to celebrate themselves.”
Dana shared that the biggest inspiration behind her designs are strong women, and all her collections are named after the important women in her life. Her favorite part about jewelry designing is seeing it come to life. Dana describes the feeling as rewarding.
“I am so grateful for the DRD community. Not a day goes by where I don’t realize how lucky I am to get to do what I do and to have such a supportive community surrounding me and my team.”
